Spectacular bakery. All I can say is the Persian Donuts are amazing. We wish we would have bought a dozen of them. However we are from out of the country and this was our first stop.in Canada. Absolute must visit place.

They are the original Persian man, and the Persian are fantastic. You can buy one, a dozen, or buy them frozen with they icing on the side. There is a restaurant at this location as well, the food is pretty good. They serve a variety of different Italian grocery products, including pasta, meats, tomato sauce, and so on. The place could use a bit of a freshening up but no big deal. You can also eat inside or take your food to go. A must stop for anyone going to Thunder Bay or if you live there and want a treat.

This is a great lunch spot! Service is friendly and fast. The food and selection is very good and the Persians are very good as well. I once saw actual Iranian people enjoying the delicious pastry that is the persian.

I was going to take a picture of the persians I bought, but I inhaled them within minutes. Well worth the trip.

Not much else can be said other than the fact that the Persians here are fantastic. They are well priced and always taste fresh. Considering Thunder Bay is known for their Persians, the Persian Man is a great store, and a store you should always pay a visit to if your in the area.

Persians locally made, like a cinnamon bun with a strawberry cream cheese frosting. Really good. I always stop for them when I'm in Thunder Bay

Summer treat - only available in Thunder Bay and the best are here! Also available at Thunder Bay Wal-Mart's. If you want to take some home and you are flying get the icing separate and pack it in your checked luggage or they will take it at security:(

Mmmm persians

Heard about this place through word of mouth, so we stopped in on our road trip from Manitoba. We had delicious lasagna for lunch and took away six Persians, which were also very yummy. Looks like a great place to eat; make sure you check them out if you're in the Thunder Bay area.

the donuts are very good! The staff was very nice and suggested that we get our treats without frosting on top in order for it to travel better.

While the Persian is an attraction all of the food here is excellent!

took 2 grand kids here and had coffee and donuts, They were excellent and the service was fast even though it was very busy. Will return for sure next time we are in town.

All I was hoping for and more! Brought 3 dozen back to Timmins with the icing on the side.

Food is always great and staff work so hard . Food is home cooking like sausage, lasagna, cabbage rolls, schnitzel, etc at a great price. The wraps are also fantastic. The lineups at lunchtime move quickly with the efficient staff. The persians are always available and a must when visiting thunder bay. Remember to reserve a dozen for your flight out of TB!

Excellent lunch selection including meatballs, perogies, sausage, and the best fried chicken all made to your liking. Get it on a bun, on a wrap and choose all the fresh toppings you want. Top it off with a delicious Thunder Bay Persian and life is good. Building also includes baked goods and a meat cutting area. All in one stop!

Be careful because near the end of the day they sometimes sell out of the Persians. They taste like a mix between a cinnamon bun and donut with strawberry icing and very reasonably priced as that. It was around $1.10 for each. They also open early at 7am on weekdays so go earlier in the day to get them fresh. Worth a stop as you can't get them outside of thunder bay.

The family all agrees that the icing detracts from the Persian, which is wonderful. Great subs here too.

Delicious persians and food

I told my friends they had to go here on their cross country trip so they stopped and of course the donuts were fantastic as always but they said the lady working May 21st had terrible customer services and was quite rude. It's too bad because it's a country staple. Great taste does not mean you can be rude no matter how popular you are.

Was told this was a "must" on my trip. The lady working there could not have cared less about existing and packaged the doughnuts in bags, icing to icing. Needless to say, awful service and the doughnuts weren't anything spectacular.

Persians! Try the takeout lasagna....you wont regret it

Iconic Thunder Bay. Note airplanes won't allow just the icing separate from the Persians to fly as a carry on, it needs to go in a checked bag (dont wat to lose that!)

A must go to place when in thunder bay. A specialty dessert that you won't find anywhere else in Canada. They also ship Persians across Canada for a fee.

Good Persians and decent food. Coffee surprisingly good. If there are lots of people, can take some time in the morning. Place a little weathered but generally a nice little, local place for coffee.
